What plants grow best in PA

Hi everyone. I am a new home gardener and Im moving to PA next week. What grows well in PA? And when do I plant them

My DH is the gardener in our family. He plants peppers& tomatos. This year our girls tried planting peas but they didn't take. They planted em late. This year we wanna try carrots and potatoes.

He usually starts bout mid spring.

my mom was good at tomato plants,  i personaly am a plant murderer, my mom can keep it gorgeous but as soon as i take it it dies lol

 We had peppers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, corn, onions, lettuces (though they are often bitter), asparagus, sugar peas, carrots, red beets, pumpkins, strawberries, potatoes, and sweet potatoes in our garden this year. My DH usually starts planting most of the stuff in March or April depending on the weather.

I have never had problems with tomatoes, peppers, or pumpkins. But I am pretty new to this. My grandfather had a full organic garden when I was growing up.
