Strong Women. Strong Girls
My daughter is in Child Development and she loves it.
They are starting to get into the "meat" of their teaching. This week they have started with lower case letters and their sounds.
I have put little notes all over the house for each letter, but I am having a problem with one.
"Q"
I can't think of anything in the house that has a "q" in it.
So I need a little help.
I need words that have a "q' in it.
Please & Thank You.

We're labeling things in the house, too, to help DD (who is 3) with spelling. I feel your pain! Here's what I came up with:
- quilt
- any movies with queens in them
- anything with a duck, you could use "quack" in context (like "quacking duck" or "Duck Quacks")
- quarters
- Q-Tips
- "quiet spot"
- Quaker Oats
- queen-sized mattress
- question mark
- quart of milk
- quill (like I have a feather pen lying around!)
If you want something with the letter q in it, I'm out of ideas at the moment.

She pretty much nailed it with this reply, I was thinking maybe you can cut pictures with q words out and paste them on colored construction paper, using a marker write the name of the q word the hang them around the house.
