I have a ton of the little tan footies even for my flats. They cover to the bottom of you toes and a small portion of your heel with a little gel insert for comfort. I buy them for DD as well!

They really are lovely

It depends on the weather. If it is warm I cannot stand to have on anything that covers my feet. In the cooler weather I wear trouser socks. I cannot stand the feel of tights underneath pants!
