Are Non-Christians Patriotic?
January 9 at 7:58 PM

I'm curious.  I see things that make me wonder how atheists and other non-Christians are viewed.

You don't have to post if you don't want to, but you are welcome to explain your position if you'd like.  The poll of course allows you to answer anonymously.  :-)

Are atheists and other non-Christians capable of patriotism?

  1. 10% - No
  2. 84% - Yes

  4. 0% - Atheists yes, non-Christian God believers no

Of course. The one has nothing to do with the other.

I ask because of some of the more disturbing things I am reading in other threads.

Freedom of religion is a constitutional right and one of the principals this country was founded on.  Patriotism has absolutely nothing to do with god no matter how many try to ram it down our throats.  The word god did not appear on our money or in our country's pledge until some idiots made a stink about some nonesense and forced it.

In reality of course. Patriotism and religious belief are no way connected. I've met in real life Morons who claim god country family etc. They are always self ritious pricks.

Sure why not, love of country doesn't mean you have to love God, it certainly helps in the afterlife though ;)
