strict moms that know how to dicipline
Ok so I was in walmart yesterday with my boys and my oldest one grabs a $56 monster truck and says I want it I said no we don't have the money for that then he says fine daddy will get me it. I said no he won't and if he does its not comin to my house with you. Then he throws the truck down and throws a big fit. I took him to the bathroom and busted his butt good. Then went to my moms house (live there) I told my mom bout it and she said I handled it right. But my question is has your child ever done that? If they did or were to do so what would/did you do?

I used to dread shopping in a store like Walmart or ToysRUs! Whenever the "I want!" temper tantrum would surface, I would put the item in my shopping cart and continue up and down the aisles. When my little "angel' was distracted by something else, I placed the item on another shelf and quietly continue shopping. Most of the time, he had forgotten about the toy. If not, at least I could deal with him in the privacy of my car or at home, rather than in a storeful of people! -Ruth-Ann
