Last week, when dh and I were going out to dinner, I mentioned the fact that I was going to go to Joe's radiation oncologist appt this week. Said it was handy that I happened to have off.Later, during that meal, friends talked about ladies night at the movies. I said that I was planning to go.. dh said,, how are you going to do that when you are at Joe's appt?  I said I guess we will see if I get back in time.

SO he heard and acknowledged what I was doing today.. right?

Silly me, this morning I was talking about how my dad has changed the plans and he is now coming to the appt.. and since I was working extra yesterday, dad was somehow concerned it would affect my travelling today.. and how odd a comment that was.

DH says.. I didn't know you were going to Joe's appt today/

blank stare  YEEPPPPP

just don't get it.

Typical.  Mine calls today to tell me he's in Memphis and has the flu.  I had to remind him at the end of the call that today is my birthday.

Husbands and kids seem to only 1/2 listen- think they just focus in on a few words they think may be important- not that the entire conversation is necessary!cat
