i would have to say our school nurse in elementary school..she went far and beyond her job to help us out growing up when our parents failed to care

Wow... um. It's hard to say, I was surrounded by so many great people --and through books, so many great ideas!
My mom and dad, for sure... but also a couple of very cool aunts and great aunts (one of whom is still gracelessly growing old, she'll be 90 soon!) My elementary school librarian was a big influence on how broad my reading is...which accounts for a lot of the influences in my life over the years.
