You are very ambitous! I love it!
Quoting SLMitchell:
Greetings and salutations! My name is Sara, I am twenty-six, and I have one lovely little child named Lucy Rose. I homeschool. I recently began reforming the dreadlocks that I cut off at the end of August (I plead temporary insanity...lol) I was raised on a small farm, around nature and animals, and I remember the lifestyle fondly. My family also participated in pre-1840s reenactments, where my siblings and I learned a lot about self-reliance. I first made the real connection between living animals and meat as a child, when my parents took my sister's show pig to be slaughtered. I was attached to the animal, and stopped eating pork after that. I became a vegetarian in my late teens. My four year old has been raised on a vegetarian diet since birth (very nearly vegan), and I have recently made the little leap into veganism. I was born and raised in Texas, and I lived there until a little over a year ago. In October 2011, my family moved to Hawaii (my husband is in the Army), which is a nice place to live if you are into "going green". :) As I live on a military base, I cannot dig, but I have a small container garden which has been flourishing in Oahu's year-round growing season. I prefer to make my own cleaning products. My dream is to eventually move back to Texas, purchase a piece of land, build a home out of sustainable materials (like a cob house!), and set up an aquaponic system.

Hi Guys,
I'm a SAHM from LA, Ca. My son is 14 months old and I am concerned (as all of you) about his well-being. This is not the only reason, but a very strong one why we are trying to be a "green" family. I'm always interested in news about green/organic topics. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are an expert on organic baby clothing. Thanks!
Great to be here!

Hi everyone. I'm Kat, (sahm to 3) and I'm glad I found this group. I hope to learn more about making my lifestyle and home greener. I have kids and I want them to have a healthier future. I believe that being green starts with moms who choose to raise their families as natural as possible, teaching them how to care for our selves and our environment. I hope to learn a lot here. :)
Thanks!
