What do you use?

My pasty white 2.5yo is still red After 45min outside with sspf70 :/

This will be his first summer being allowed outside a lot, and I don't want him to burn :(

I use Neutrogena SPF100 - they have it in both liquid and spray form. I use both for various parts of my body.

You can get it at target, ULTA, Fred Meyers, any store basically - for about $10.99.

Anything over SPF 50. Is really no good. Maybe get a SPF shirt and hat. Try being out in the sun in mornings for shorter amounts of time so he won't burn.

We don't use sunscreen. We avoid rubbing chemicals and nanoparticles all over our skin.

We prefer to use organic coconut oil, instead.

Get an spf shirt, a hat and avoid the sun as much as possible from like 12-2

How does that block UV rays?

Coconut oil does not work for my pasty white self, I in no way would attempt using it on a little one. I live in AZ though, the sun is intense out here.

The way I see it chemicals and nanoparticles > skin cancer. Melanoma is no joke, highly metastatic. There are two other forms that arent as bad, but why risk it?
