Hows that? We paid bills and rent first. I also needed new clothes, everything in my dresser was getting too small for me. And our 7 month old is in 12 month clothes now so he also needed new outfits.

Like I said, we also bought things we needed for the house. And we still have over $1400 in the bank.

We didn't get to money back but I've bought about 30 baby outfits in the past week. I'm so excited to buy girl clothes lol.

Exactly.  I am not sure what all the women around here think that everyone else should be spending their tax return on.  Apparently, everyone, no matter their financial situation, should never touch their tax return...ever.

Did you ignore paying off debts or bills to get the stuff? If so, that sucks. If not, hope your choices on what to buy were helpful.

I'm sorry...should she have stared at it and tucked it away for 'one day' when you don't know she necessarily needs it. It wasn't wasted...she enjoyed spending it and got things tha she felt she would enjoy. Just because you can be happy witout things doesn't mean having things should mean 'wasted' or that they're 'unhappy'.

No, we paid everything else first. We know our priorities.
