    I believe it should be. At least, for like terminally ill patients and whatnot. Why make them suffer? It just seems so inhumane to me.

    yep

    we don't make pets suffer because it is "inhumane" but we don't allow people the same rights

    Here is the irony-the states have the right to end the lives of inmates who have been convicted by a jury of their peers.  Yet a terminal person who wishes to end their life willingly runs the risk of condeming someone who has compassion for them to a life behind bars.  Go figure.

    I think if you can prove that you are of sound mind, you should be able to make the decision whether you will continue to live or not.

    Absolutely. I work in healthcare and I have had countless people beg me to just let them die. They knew they were on their way out and were in horrible amounts of pain. It's heartbreaking to have to sit there and watch them suffer
