I went to the grocery store today.  I got turned around and walked down an isle I have never been down before, and I was appalled at what I seen! All in one isle I saw a bunch of junk food!  Candies and snack cakes and cookies... THEN I went to go to the next isle and its full of nothing but sodas, chips and dip!!!!  WTH? Why is this legal?!  How?!  I can't believe that people are actually allowed to buy this crap, and they actually feed it to their kids?! I am going to call my local congressmen and make a complaint.  No one should be allowed to buy these things!  I don't care who's money they are using, its just not right!

*  I know, sounds ridiculous doesn't it?... Now think about how you -PA posters- sound every time you make just as big of an idiotic post.  It might be the gov money people are spending, but its going to be spent either way.  Regardless if they spend it on fruits and veggies, or on chips and snack cakes. If they run out and all they have is crap, its on them. Not you not I. So why not mind your own business? If its that big of a deal, why not push to have all the processed crap out there illegal all together?  No one should be buying it then, based on your inane rants.  I on the other hand couldn't care less what others buy with their own money or otherwise.*

Because if you earn your money, you spend it as you please.  If your depending on the government to feed your family, you should be feeding them wholesome foods.  Junk food is not a necessity, it's an extra.  Those on PA do not have the extra money.

I agree with you. I have to keep sweets around. My hunny is a diabetic so we have to have things in case his sugars drop.

I don't give a shit what they spend it on. Your right.....the money is given to them regardless. My problem is the amount people are given in the first place and the lack of "rules". As for how they eat? Who cares.

Now you wanna talk about stricter time limits (1 year MAX), no increase if you have more kids, and the amounts cut at least in half....i am all in!!
