I Let Him Get Hurt

My 4 year old was riding around on one of those toys you sit on and move with your feet.

He got stuck going around my bed.

Instead of picking the toy up, which he can easily do, and moving it, he started screeching at the top of his lungs for the bed to move.

I told him to pick the toy up and move it himself several times. But he wouldn't listen. I wasn't going to do it for him. He needs to do it himself.

He was so frustrated he fell off the toy and hit his nose somehow, which then started bleeding.

Oh well.Ya live ya learn. Bed isn't going to move no matter how much you scream at it. Fix the problem yourself.

The toy is now going in the garage and will no longer be allowed inside.

As much as I can't stand for parents to purposely let their children do thinks they know are an unnessisary risk, I completly agree with you. You told him, he ignored you. Next time he'll listen.

Bet he won't do it again. Sometimes, they just gotta figure it out themselves.
