so i just found the perfect house (we are buying a new house) it has everything we want but the only thing is it has an inground pool and i have 3 small kids.how do you mamas deal with a pool and little ones

We had a pool at our first house. At that time we didn't have children but had young nieces and nephews who would come and spend much time with us. We had a lock on the fence from the drive way-a lock on the the garage door that housed the pool filter, and we had a gate on the back deck that had a lock. Unless we physically undid the locks they couldn't get in the back yard, or near the pool. They also learned very early that unless we were on the grass that they weren't to be in the pool at all ever. Its like anything else--you have to teach them.

Never take your eye off your child. That should do it.

Build a fence around it and keep a tight, good quality pool cover over it when no in use.

Here you legally must have a fence put in around the pool if you have children under a certain age.

All these legal things need to be checked by state, home owners associations and what not. In Texas your back yard must have a fence but you do not have to have a second one around the pool. It does not matter how old the kids are and all that.
