I grew up in a school district where Fridays were always early dismissal. Usual class was 9am-330pm but Friday we got out at 1pm.
I now do my practicum in the next district over and they don't get early dismissal. I grew up thinking it was common practice but now I'm not too sure. So does your kids school get early dismissal?

We have late start Wednesday. I hate it. School opens at 9, class starts at 9:20. Hate it. -
Not here, but in the town we lived in before, Wednesday is "flex day". They get out at 140 instead of 305, or something like that. Here, they don't do that and rarely get out early for any reason. In our old town the day before a vacation period was always half. Not here! -
We have early out on Wednesdays. Its only an hour early. -
That would be kind if annoying. Is there a reason behind it?

On the second and third wednesday of every month my dd gets out an hour early. -
My son gets out @ 11am on wednesdays, for program planning and review meeting the teachers and cyw's have

1 day a month is a half day, they go 8-12.

My dd school district has early release on Wednesdays, but only a half an hour. It's usually when the principals have their staff meetings. -
My kids have late start Mondays. School starts 1 hour later than normal. -
Yeah, every wednesday is a minimum day. They get out at 12:30pm. When I was younger, we jad early days like once every 2 months.
