January 25 at 11:44 AM

So with all the transgender posts about I thought I would start a Q&A. We have many knowledgable individuals on here. So ask your questions and those of us who are transgender or have transgender individuals in our lives will answer your questions for you.

how many transgendered people do you think have reassignment surgery?  i've only known 1 person to do that...she was a very well respected surgeon and when she did an interview with the local paper to announce that she has recently had the surgery, it freaked people out.  she lost a lot of patients and ended up moving out of the area.

It depends on the surgery. Some surgeries allow it to become erect naturally. Usually those are surgeries that result in a micro-penis. However, I am hopeful that with the discovery of how big the clitoris really is that surgeons will be able to use this to create a longer penis that can naturally become erect. Some transgender guys go for the look of a "natural" penis and then have to pump or insert a rod to achieve an erection.

Remember that nosey anon? That's me again. If they make a penis umm how does it become erect? I mean does it work exactly the same as any other man?

    Quoting purpleducky:

Yes. They use the pre-exisiting part and basically turn it inside out to create the new part (in general).

When a man decides he was born in the wrong body and has surgery done to have women parts, can they really create a vagina and vice versa? I'm not trying to be rude I'm just really curious.

I really have no clue. I know quite a few of us want it but due to costs it is hard to achieve. There aren't numbers on transgender people either. It sucks. We get overlooked a lot.

just couldn't allow someone else to post about this subject without you taking it over. So now everyone will ignore her post and come bash you instead.

good for you for being true to yourself.  it must be hard.  our society is no where near as open minded as we pretend to be.

They create an opening in the body. They kinda split the penis like a hot dog and then shove it in the opening they created.
