At what age is it ok for a baby to watch tv?

I started letting my, now, 6 1/2 month old son watch tv at the age of 2 months because it helps with visual stimulation.

DS was 8 months or 6 months old

Now he's 18 months and he's learned TONS from educational cartoons he's watched.

I turn cartoons on for my toddler as background noise. He only pays attention to it if they start singing, and he will dance lol then he goes back to doing whatever

When ever you want. My kids learned English watching tv. I don't think it should be the kids sitter, but when ever you see fit

I've heard two years, and honestly don't see any reason beforehand. It doesn't help babies with visual stimulation, in fact its bad for babies eyes. If you want your baby to have visual stimulation, take them to a park or play with brightly colored toys.

My DD is 5 months old and I just started to let her watch TV she loves it cause she just stays still watching Dora, Bubble Guppies, Umi Zumi, Diego Im sure it's all the colors that catches her attention lol.
