Could you? My rent is $750, cable/internet/phone is $140, and gas, power, and water are about $200 combined. So no I wouldn't be able to pay all mine with $1000. I haven't even accounted for insurance.

Currently yes because I don't pay rent, I will take over the mortgage payments once I finish school and then no, it would not, although of I canceled my cable and internet and for rid of or cell phones it would.

No....not with our mortgage....if you're having difficulties, you might want to reconsider the cable/internet and phone.  We have a land line only and have minimum cable and internet.  I get $125 a week for groceries for the four of us...me, my husband, and two adult young men. We don't go out to dinner, I can't remember the last time we saw a movie in a theatre and ordering a pizza is a BIG deal at our house.
