That's right. If he one day decided he hated pets, I would divorce him. There is no way I am giving up my cats and my pug. Not happening.
If my child were to become sick and the pets were affecting my child, I would have a special area set up for my lovely pets.

I do want to add--I totally disagree with one person buying or adopting an animal when the other is vehemently against it, for whatever reason. I feel like that's rude and disrespectful. But, if the animal is already part of the family there's no reason to give it up!

I told my DH once that my cat Midnight had seniority, so not to push his luck. I had the cat before the man or the kids. He lived to be 18 and I still miss him every day - the cat, not DH ;)

Haha! Mine was allergic. My cat was old and died :(. I couldn't replace her, and that was two and a half years ago. I miss her and DD still remembers her.

Lol, if I ever mat a nice woman, if she didn't like my ferrets and my cats, we aren't gonna happen.

I would do the same. If I ever heard "me or the dog" it would be the dog. I think he knows better than to ever say that though.
