My heartbreaking confession

Sadly, I cannot whistle. I have tried my whole life to whistle a happy tune and all that comes out is air. Anyone else can't do something that appears so easy to other people?

i am a classically trained in Flute and I can't whistle. you would think that since i can play the flute i could whistle. nope. :<

touch tongue to nose. My mom can and it's the one talent I would have loved to have had too.  I don't know how common it is but on her side of the family many can.

I think it's genetic.  Can you roll your tongue?

It took me years to learn how to whistle.  Once I did within a few years I got braces.  I don't know about others, but I couldn't whistle with braces.  Once I got them off I never bothered trying again.  I probably could do it again if I tried, but I was never very good at it to begin with.
