To plan ahead and have everything ready when the baby arrives. That was my reason anyways.

It's a lot easier to plan if you know what you're having.

That said, I didn't know I was having a girl until she was born.

To plan ahead. I'm not fond of surprises anyways.

Well, isn't finding out on the sonogram a surprise as well? You walked in not knowing the gender, and then you're told. Surprise!

I've had a few people want surprises and I wouldn't mind if I had a boy and girl already. We wanted to know, it also helped with narrowing down names and buying clothes and what not.

Its easier to buy the things you need and ask for things at a shower.

I knew the sex of my baby before the ultrasound.

Because we were broke at the time and needed to plan ahead, and green and yellow on a baby is not my fave.

Nope.  I always wanted to know.  I found out as soon as I could both times.
