yes, with a wooden spoon and a yard stick, and belt. I have never used an object to punish my kids.

I was beat all the time, usually with wooden spoons and belts.

I have been slapped and pushed and punched once in my face. But not on a regular basis.

Hit ... no. I was beaten when bad. A wooden cutting board was the norm.

Yes.

There were 2 or 3 times my dad smacked me (not just on my face, on random body parts too) without warning because he was so angry.

But every once in a while they would spank me with a belt and it was a very calm affair.

As I got older they stopped using a belt. I think they thought it was too harsh or something...
