A couple minutes ago I got a text message saying I won a $1,000 Best Buy gift card. I'm a huge skeptic, so instead of following the instructions the text gave me, I jumped online and googled. Yep, I was right :( Apparently when you try to claim the prize, they start asking you all kinds of personal info. On a funny note, my scam-radar is so high that I've even not believed REAL alerts from stores and banks, lol. One time in particular, I didn't believe a letter from my bank saying my debit card would be deactivated unless I did xyz. Well...they deactivated my debit card!!!!!!! LOL!

Lol my dad, who is very new to all this high tech gadgetry, believes every one of those things! He's constantly coming over here wanting me to get on his phone and get that free $500 Walmart gift card for him! I tell him it's a scam and he just won't believe me. Lol
