Happy Birthday Baby Jesus! (Keeping CHRIST in CHRISTmas)
November 26, 2012 at 4:29 PM

The post about taking the Christ out of Christmas made me think. In our house, it's a tradition to make baby Jesus a birthday cake to celebrate with. Yes, I know historically HIS birth is closer to Easter and all. It's just out way of helping HIM celebrate.

Do you know anyone else who does birthday cakes for Jesus?

I've seen several women on here mention that they do. I obviously do not, as I'm not Christian. I'm not sure if I would do it if I were, but I do love cake!

Well you most certainly could come have cake then. I make chocolate, always. Because it's the best.

I think it's a little ridiculous but whatever floats your boat.

I'd make you a solstice cake if you'd bring some decent meade.

Ridiculous? My FAMILY TRADITION is ridiculous? You know what's ridiculous? Having a birthday party for a 1 year old. Like they are really going to remember THAT?! No. It's all about the people who come to the party and the parents. Oh wait, so is our tradition. Does it still seem ridiculous?
