Do you buy dolls for your daughter that are the same race as you are?
I'm shopping for a Little Mommy Doctor doll for my daughter. I can ge them from Amazon for $50, free shipping. I found one on Ebay that the starting bid is only $10 and the shipping is $7. It is new in box, but the dolly is black. I hesitate to purchase it because I'm not sure if my daughter would perfer a dolly that looks like her or if she would even care if her dolly was dark skinned.

Does she pretend she is their mommy? If so she may prefer one that looks more like her.

I buy all kinds of Barbies/ baby dolls for my girls. I have one dd adopted from China and 1 bio that is blonde and white as can be... my oldest has Chinese dolls bought from China, as well as white and black dolls... my youngest has regular ole' Barbies as well as black ones and the princesses.

It doesn't matter to me. My favourite doll as a child was a black cabbage patch kid, that had beads put in her hair.
I loved her so much and wanted beads in my hair just like her lol. -
I know when I was little I always picked white dolls, I had a few black babies though. My brother had a black Dollie he loved more than anything lol. -
I had white, black, Hispanic, and Asian baby dolls growing up. My daughter has white and black so far. I don't really care what color a doll is as long as it is cute. -
I had kinds of dolls when I was little. Back, Asian, hispanic, but since those are harder to find, most of mine were white.
