My DD has horrible excezma and I use cortisone and Vaseline. I put the cortisone on first immediately after a bath and then the Vaseline on top of it and then get her dressed. I also put lotion on her also twice through the day. -
It's not natural, but I can relate. My daughter (11 now)... used to get it REALLY bad. Once she got it all inside her arms and couldn't stop itching it. She was about 2 or 3...
Anyway, NOTHING worked... no oils, creams, herbs, change of soaps, showers instead of baths, fewer showers.... etc..
I finally gave up and had the doc prescribe an ointment that had a very low percentage of steroid in it. Cleared it up pretty quickly ... and after using it for about six months (tiny jar, so obviously didn't use it often)... she almost NEVER has excema issues.

I've been using grapeseed oil on DS. It works well, but his eczema was never so bad it bled. It just got really red and sort of cracked looking. Still, the GSO cleared that up within a day or two. I was shocked; his prescription cortizone didn't work nearly as well. -
My oldest gets it quite bad. I use scent free, dye free everything. A few months ago I started using Galaxol cream and I am absolutely amazed at how well it works for her. My mom uses it as well as a friend who is literally covered head to toe in eczema. Both say it works very well. I buy it in the big tubs at Costco.
