by AnonymousNovember 20, 2012 at 3:47 AMI miss cvs. They don't have them in Washington. I love your idea. I will see if I can get help with eletric next month to go there for my teens. Toys 4 tots has the young one covered. After age 13 toys 4 tots does not feel the need to help.

I wish I could even spend $100 on each of my kids. Well this year Christmas will be horrible in my house. I can cook a nice dinner. As far as presents the kids will be sol for this year. The last person who offered to help stood me up and deleted their account.

And it makess you feel big to brag about being high class and can buy your kids the world? Even bigger to make us little people that can't spend thousands on our kids feel like ultimate shit?
whoa.. divide 1500 by 4. I spent $300-$400 on each of my kids. That's not thousands on each of them.
I'm sorry you feel like shit, I really am. I hope you can find some help for your Christmas this year.
ETA - I would be willing to help, if you're willing to accept it.

by AnonymousNovember 20, 2012 at 4:04 AMI am not asking for you to help. That is nice of you. I am sorry about my rudness about how much you spend on your kids. I guess I just let envy kick my in the rear. I have my youngest signed up for toys for tots. They accepted my 14yo too. They said that they are not sure if anything will come in teenage appropriate. My 17 was not accepted. There is a nice lady buying her shoes for Christmas though. Another Mommy said she lives by me and was going to help and deleted her account. I just feel bad I can't do for my kids what other's can. I have 7years of college with a 4.0gpa and am very smart. I just can't get even an interview anywhere. I even tried the mall and no call back. I went back into Game Stop (gamer Mommy) and told them I was inquiring about the app and resume I returned. He said, "oh we interviewed and hired who we wanted. Sorry you were not chosen." I also do exceptional cakes and sent my resume with photos to every bakery. Once again no response. I do get disability for my MS & Epilepsy it barely covers rent. I usually day labor to pay electric even when I am sick. I just can't afford Christmas this year. It is not your problem. I did not make my post to ask you for Christmas and again I apologize for coming off rude. I am glad and happy some kids in this world can wake up extra happy on Christmas.

That is really shitty for someone to do to you all! How many kids do you have? Would you like me to help? I promise, I won't cop out on you. I never have with others I have helped.
I've been there, before, mama. Two years ago, and I know how horrible it feels.

So far, I just picked up Furbees for each of them. I won't do the bulk of the shopping until December. We are fans of not rushing the holiday.
Thanksgiving first.
I like getting things done and organized before the major holiday rush starts. It's just too stressful trying to get everything done before Christmas. That way we can enjoy most of December without having to worry about shopping and fighting the majority of the crowds.
That's a good reason. It's a bummer when people are stressed at the holidays. It should be enjoyed. We don't have a very big family, so I don't really do a whole lot of shopping. It's not stressful for me. Our house isn't big or beautiful and we don't host any parties, so just a quick clean and a day of decorating and we're done. I'm getting better at letting the girls do most of the decorating (I was super fussy and controlling at first - no fun for anyone). We also don't do a lot of holiday parties - just hang out, listening to Christmas music and playing games with the kids. Our girls are 9, 6, and 6, so we are in the sweet spot for building happy memories with them.

Our goodwill has some great clothing options. Tons of Aero clothes which are 2.50 a piece but often they sell cheaper cause of sales.
Also their shoes here are 2.00 a pair 4.00 for boots and coats are 5.00
I just my husband a pair of Nike airs for 2.00 the other day. They ended up being a little tight so we have to give them to someone else but eh ...
Books are great to buy for older kids and they sell them for 10 cents.
Good luck and if you want to tell me their ages and sizes I will see what I can find here for you and ill mail them to you.
