Mexico is not in North America!!

I was at a dinner party with a large group of people, and one of my husband's friends was saying that Mexico is not part of the continent of North America; that it's actually part of Central America.  His reasoning was that they are a different culture...and therefore doesn't belong with America and Canada.  Many people agreed with him, on the cultural and geographic aspects of his "opinion". 

I have to ask...do you personally believe that Mexico is part of North America?

In your personal opinion, is Mexico part of North America...does it share a continent with the United States and Canada?

I always considered it part of central America. It's part of that long tail that goes from the tip or Texas.

Central America is a region not a continent so a country is either part of North America or South America with Panama being the dividing line. Continents can be very different. Look at Asia we've never decided that Pakistan and China are on different continents.

Canada, America, and Central America make up the North American Continent.

And any Mexican (including myself) will tell you, " HELL NO!". Central America is between Mexico and S. America.
