My 11.5yo DD has recently become interested in taking pictures. She has been asking so much lately I'm thinking of getting her a camera for Christmas.
So my question to all the photographers out there (or anyone else who has been through this): What is the best kind of camera to get a beginning photographer? Nothing too expensive though as I am trying to keep a limit on what I spend on each kid for Christmas.
