Honestly most of what I see here (CM in general) is "I'm voting Romney because Obama sucks"
Due to a couple well thought out, civil answers I think that the majority of Romney supporters support him because the economic issues are more important to them than the social issues and Obama supporters feel the social issues are more important. The message just doesn't seem to come across clearly when people have to get all heated about the discussion and can't get their thoughts out civilly. (this goes for both sides, I'm not singling out the Romney supporters in getting hot headed, Obama supporters do it too)
I didn't make this post to start drama but to see the other point of view since I read through the "question for Obama supporters" post
Frankly, if this country goes bankrupt, its not going to matter whether homosexuals can get married or whether abortions are legal.
Given our economic climate and the way our economy works, that needs to be a top priority. We need to get people off unemployment and welfare, and get them back to work. Its better for them and its better for society. When there is abject poverty, EVERYTHING is bad. Crime goes up, self esteem goes down, people lose hope, etc.
Do you get that I didn't call *you* stupid? That's actually a phrase coined by a democrat (James Carville) when Clinton was running for President.
