I live in a town of roughly 50,000 I am a city girl so to me this is small, it used to be a very quiet town even with all the people. Within the last 2 months we have had a drug raid, busting 75 people, 10 deaths from heroin, 2days ago someone Hung themselves in the backyard of the house across the street, (we know the ppl across the st. Noone knew who this person was.), and a man hogtied his kid Hung him from a porch and let his neighbors vicious (it was trained to be vicious, I have 2 pitts and they are amazing loving dogs) attack the child, among many other various crimes that "just don't happen here".
This sickens me!!
How is it changing where you live?

No clue. I don't read the news or gossip. It brings my day down and affects me negatively. I live my life without that crap. -
Well.. I live in a town of a few thousand... Like 5,000...MAYBE. Doesn't even seem that big to me lol i work in a town that is even smaller. And we have ALOT of alcoholism, drug use/trafficking, child abuse, sex abuse, DV, robbery etc.. Had a double homicide in my town this year. Have a few 'regulars' who nearly OD every so often. I work at a jail, and not too long ago someone hung himself there. I don't think my area has done well in a VERY long time. We have the same things that go on everywhere else. Just seems like the negative is so huge because of the smaller population. -
Yes, i live in niagara falls area-a few min out of the city. People murdered almost daily. Drugs & crackheads everywhere, prostution. Horrible crimes! Just last week a 5 y.o girl was murdered and thrown in the garbage. They just found a missing mother of 3 decapitated in the river.not a safe place at all. -
Omg! Well sounds like me... I moved here from a fairly big city IMO & we have about the same population as yours. At first everyone here was very quite kept to themselves. Very reserved but now after a year! Things have gotten cray! I've never seen so many crack heads in just one area... My DH's God mother asked me why don't just allow my DS to walk himself to & from school. Well, for 1. Within 1 month there has been 3 attempting kidnappings near his school. 2. A little girl was rapped walking home from school on broad day light! :( 3. I'm a SAHM & the school is literally right behind our house so it's not a biggy. Also in the beginning of last month someone found a dead body chopped up stuffed in a suit case in a nearby motel :( -
