Money for report card?

Do you give your kids money for good grades? Do you think you will do that when your younger kids are in school?

My dd is in 4th grade and we've been giving money for 2 years now. AB honor roll scores her $25 a semester. All A all year is a $50 bonus.

We will reward good grades when she starts getting actual grades. Right now she gets to choose a place to go to dinner.

We don't reward for grades.  They need to do well in school for its own sake, not for a reward.

The only incentive my parents gave for grades was that if we weren't on the B honor roll, at least, we had to pay the difference in car insurance since there was a good student discount.

Yes I do reward my daughter for good grades.  It's her job and she gets paid for a job well done.

Neither of us come from families where they did that so we haven't done it with our kids either.  Maybe we will change in the future, I don't know, but not at the present time.

We don't do money, but we let them choose a place to eat.

My kids are not old enough yet, but when they are we will not pay them for good grades.
