Crock Pot Turkey Sausage with Peppers and Basil
December 11, 2012 at 7:00 PM

This was delicious! It was not difficult to make, though there was some mincing involved (onion, garlic clove) and a little bit of pre-cooking (sauteeing before slow cooking) involved. It probably took me 25 minutes to get the dish ready for the crock pot. Then at dinnertime all I had to do was cook some pasta to serve the dish over. I left the red pepper flakes out. My kids have been finicky about spicy food, so I did not want to ruin the dish for them. They ended up eating a lot of it, since it was not spicy! That was a good choice. Add a little parmesean cheese to the top and you're set!

Here is the recipe:

Looks good. I always leave out any kind of peppers as well.

Looks good. I would leave out the pasta and eat the turkey and peppers with a salad on the side.
