I tend to embrace stress or add stress for myself. I think I get it from my Mom and Grandma. They often cause problems without realizing so they can surround themselves with stress and feel needed when they fix the problems. I'm having to learn not to do that by keeping my mouth shut more. And I'm really struggling with letting things go. For example, whenever we need to go somewhere on time, my whole family, especially my Mom takes forever to get going. They don't even start getting ready until after we were supposed to be leaving. I spend all day getting myself and my kids ready and planning what I need to do so we can leave on time. So by the time we are supposed to leave I'm all worked up trying to get people to get going. Then everyone is mad at me and I don't get to enjoy whatever we are doing.
