The actor Paul Walker, best known for his featured role in the popular 'Fast and the Furious'movie franchise, is reportedly dead today at age 40. It's truly shocking and deeply sad news. Reports began coming in earlier this evening that Walker and another passenger did not survive a car crash which took place just outside ofLos Angeles earlier this afternoon.
TMZ is reporting that Walker's car, a Porsche, left the road and collided with a tree. Upon impact, the car ignited and then, exploded killing both Walker, who is thought to have been the driver -- and a second unidentified passenger. The accident is believed to have taken place in the city of Santa Clarita.
Though no official statement has been made, the coroner is set to make a one tomorrow. It's truly awful. Walker, a car aficionado and humanitarian, had recently been giving test drives in his car to benefit the victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines. Walker leaves behind a 15-year old daughter. He is gone far too soon, and our thoughts are with his family.
UPDATE: Both Paul's manager and his official Facebook page are now confirming his death. There was understandable confusion after an uncanny and strangely prescient hoax circulated about Walker's death two days earlier.
Which role of Paul's will you look to in order to remember him best?
It is sad that someone died. But what is it about actors & such that people act like they knew them personally & go on & on & on about them? From the pictures of the car & the fact that it left the road, it is now said to be high rates of speed & thankfully he didn't harm anyone else along with him & the passenger. I guess I just don't get all the RIP everywhere for them. Where there as many posts when Seal team 6 died?
