Peeing through his diaper
March 13 at 5:06 PM

My 2 year old pees through his diaper probably 80% of the time through the night. He wears a size 5 huggies diaper during the day so we've put him in a size 6 at bed time. He sleeps 12 hours. In the morning he has usually soaked through his diaper and is wearing sopping wet pants.

Any ideas on how I can fix this. DH seems to think potty training him will help. I don't think he's ready for that. Anyone else had this problem? Did you switch diapers?

I'd love to hear your ideas. I've been doing WAY to much laundry lately!

I think you should start potty training him.

What makes you think that? Do you think it would help him pee less at night?

No we haven't yet. We're thinking of getting some different diapers when we go shopping tonight. I just wanted an idea of some that may have worked for people.

He is 2 and should at least be introduced to it. It might help you never know.

He has been introduced to it. He was really interested in it about 6 months ago but now he could care less. He sees the potty all the time and is asked if he wants to use it and his answer is always no now. Thats why I don't think hes ready.

    Potty training.

also not giving him anything to drink for two hours before bed will help.

I would switch diapers. Potty training him won't help him at night time as day training and night training can occur completely separate of one another.
