Yes, it can be lonely, but just focus that energy on your children (bio and step) and you'll have a happy home life. I'm not saying you can't ever hang out with friends or what not, but you'll have to find the balance between motherhood and "adult time."

When I was still a new mother I remember going to the grocery store just so I could have other adults around. When the weather starts getting better take your kids to the park, you'll meet a lot of other mom's there and hopefully you can make some friends that you can set up play dates with.

Hi, I agree with the other ladies here. At first it can be rather lonely however,  once you find the balance in your life it will be a lot better.
