I need some fever help. I have two different kinds of thermometers and they are giving two completely different read outs (yes I know they are supposed to be a little diff) the under arm says 101.2 and the ear says 98.4. Which is more accurate??

You shouldn't take a temp in either of those places. Either under the tongue or rectally. -
He's 10 mths old so I could only do rectal.

How long have you been using the ear one? It has to be done exactly right, and ear wax can effect it. I would go with the under the armpit, so long as your baby wasn't screaming when it was taken.

Under the arm, add a degree. The ear can put off different readings just by the position you have it in the ear. -

Put your lips to their fore-head, and if it feels warm, do fever treatment (Tylenol, popsicles, etc.) :) -
