Mom to Mom
I got a flu shot 11-15. 11-21 I woke up with pressure and burning sensation on the left side of my face and scalp. Yesterday it started feeling like I have needles just randomly sticking in my face and scalp so I jump and slap my face and rub it to make the sensation go away.
Could this be a reaction to the flu shot. Should I head to the ER tonight??

I wouldn't go to the ER unless it was excruciating. I would just go to a walk in clinic or make an appointment with your normal doctor.

Thanks gals. I put in a call to the doctors office that I got the shot from and I'm waiting for a call hopefully in the morning. I will see what they say. My husband fears Guillain-Barre Syndrome. We shall see.

I'd go to the ER asap! My grandma had symptoms that started out very mild and got out of hand QUICK! Go get it checked out, better safe than sorry!
(Another reason why I refuse to get the flu shot)

Thanks everyone. They found out that my blood pressure is high. Not sure if it is because of the pain or if the pain is because of the high blood pressure. Had xrays of my sinuses and blood work done. Should get results back when I go back on Friday. Right now they are treating the pain.
