Most Dangerous Toys of 2012: What You Need to Know

Just in time for Black Friday: The 2012 Trouble in Toyland report is here! And believe me, you'll definitely want to check out the U.S. Public Interest Research Group's 27^th annual survey of toy safety before you do any holiday shopping, because there are more than a few surprises on the list this year. Of course, some of these are sort of no-brainer dangers, at least for most parents; then again, if the same old problems keep popping up year after year, maybe we're not all as aware as we need to be when it comes to toy safety -- especially the companies MAKING the toys.

Among the U.S. PIRG's "key findings" this season: Lead, phthalate and even noise levels in many toys are still hazardously high; too many toys pose choking hazards, and potentially lethal magnets continue to be used. Yikes! Be sure to view the full report here. But for now, a few possible offenders to watch out for:
