Mom to Mom
Have your children go through their entire toy inventory and designate a pile to give away to those in need. Personally work with your child to identify the charity you will donate to. The more your children give to others, the less focused they will be on what they personally receive!

We'll do this around her bday, so instead we sorted what are good."sharing" toys to take along on playdates since we recently joined a playgroup. -
We went through each toy box and both of my older kids donated some of their toys :) -
We donated a few ride on toys last week to a local shelter.

The kids are cleaning their rooms tomorrow so I will have them do this, what a great idea! -
