Mom to Mom
So yesterday we found out that my neice has Distal 18q-, which just basically means that she is missing parts of her dna. It is really devastating news but at the same time its good to finally know that is going on with her. Its a very rare disease. its hard to go into what it causes and what happens because of it. But as you can imagine missing parts of your dna is never a good thing. We also found out that it may be in my side of the family. One of the things that can happen if you are missing the part of your dna is it can cause kidney reflux which my son had. So now i am worried that my son has it too. Is there anyone else on here that has a child this the disorder or knows anyone with a child that has this. children that have this are usually very small and very far behind in their development but not every chase is exactually the same. they also have distinct facial features. i would love to find someone whos child who also has this issue.
