I comparison price (very often online before shopping in the stores or online) to get best prices.

I get some things in off brands or generic but not everything. 

I like resale stores for current in style and like new things

I am careful with the lights and combining shopping trips and errands to save on gas

I AM willing however to splurge on something pricier for better quality at times or if its something unique and special.

I clip coupons and I shop on the sale rack and at the discount stores. Does that count as being thrifty? If I find something I need and it's not on sale, I usually will get it anyway.

I buy almost all generic medicines, unless I have super awesome coupons.

Linda, that made me smile. I'd do squats for money as well. That's a funny way to look at it...love it.

I also happily squat down to pick up even pennies ... I'm happy to be paid a penny to do one squat. Even happier when it's a quarter!
