After 10 weeks of stellar performances from Team Adam, Team Blake, Team Cee Lo, and Team Christina, it all comes down to this. So what happened in the season finale of NBC‘s The Voice, and which of the four finalists won America’s vote? Find out all the details after the jump!
It’s finally here; the season finale of The Voice. Which finalist will take home the title — Javier Colon, Dia Frampton, Beverly McClellan, or Vicci Martinez?
Before the big reveal, each finalist will perform one last time with some of the biggest names in the music industry.
After a little behind-the-scenes footage of their Tonight Show debut, Team Cee Lo’s Vicci Martinez takes to the stage with Train’s Pat Monahan, singing the group’s smash hit, “Drops of Jupiter.”
Once the performance is over, Cee Lo Green offers her some kind words of thanks and support, telling Vicci, “There are so many people that you remind me of, but nobody reminds me of you. You are the first Vicci Martinez.”
Next up, Javier Colon of Team Adam performs “Landslide” with the legendary Ms. Stevie Nicks! Yes, Stevie friggin’ Nicks! Win or no win, this will surely be a night that Javier cherishes forever.
The audience struggles to keep from going crazy so we can actually hear them sing, and afterward, Adam Levine struggles to hold back tears, telling Javier that he just delivered one of the most amazing duets he’s ever heard.
The next performance is from Beverly McClellan. The Team Christina rep – who points out that she’s not only the oldest artist in the competition, but she’s also the youngest at heart – is singing “Good Life” with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.
After the song, Christina Aguilera thanks Beverly for trusting in her as a coach, and tears up as she thanks her fellow judges for doing the same, and being the “big brothers” she never had. (Awww!)
And for the final performance of the night, and the one we’ve all been waiting for, Dia Frampton with her coach’s wife, country music superstar, Miranda Lambert singing, “The House that Builds Me.”
From the applause that erupts when Dia starts to sing her part, it seems that we may know the winner. Is Dia Frampton going to be named “the Voice”?
Miranda gives Dia a big hug after their duet, showing that she loves her as much as Blake does…until Papa Bear gets choked up, watching the two together on stage, and realizing that he gets so emotional about Dia because she’s “family.” (Double awww!)
Four amazing artists. Four outstanding performances.
So which one won your vote as “The Voice”?
In a vote that was so close that the top two were within 2% of one another — Dia Frampton and Javier Colon — America has decided that the first ever winner of The Voice is Javier Colon!
What did you think of tonight’s season finale of The Voice? Are you happy with the results, or do you think someone else should have won?
