Mom to Mom
My DS never had anything that he latched on to but our friends have a daughter who had a favorite stuffed animal. They secretly bought about 10 of them and swapped them out. She's now 9 and still adores that thing.

My son still has a blanket he has to sleep with. -
a special stuffed dog that was his dads.

My daughter was given a little stuffed tiger when she was about 4. To this day, 10 years later, it is still her favorite and she still sleeps with it.

My Son has 6 "Lovies" that He is super attached to..it didn't start until a few months ago, which is weird - but it's sooo precious. He actually has only had 4 of them for a short time, got them within a two month period. -
My son was REALLY good about not getting attached to any particular item.
Until one fateful day in the Carter's outlet.
He saw this blanket, grabbed it off the shelf, and held onto it for dear life. We were planning on getting the kids each something before we left, so we decided he could have it.
From that day the boy refuses to let the thing go! We are planning on getting him a second one soon because it is ridiculous when it comes time to wash it. So...we need a backup!
DD has a pink blanky that she is very partial too as well.

Both my older kiddos do. DD has her silky blanket and DS has his Teddy. -
my oldest has a giraffee calles stinky that she still sleeps with ...my son never lacked to anything as a baby but now ( he is 2) he is all about sleeping with his thomas the train

2 of my sons have a blanket that goes with them..... and neither of them cares who knows it.... one brother doesn't matter, the other doesn't ahve one.
