Mom to Mom
I saw on Today this morning that there has been a big increase in food allergies in kids. The new(er) theory is that it could be because kids aren't being exposed to things as early. Meaning that in the US the trend is bland rice cereal followed by bland veggies, bland fruit until the baby is at least 1. So the theory is that because their diets are bland and they aren't being exposed to things, when they start it later their bodies don't know how to react. On the other hand, there are theories that say the opposite, that early exposure causes allergies. It's hard to know what's right because it seems like every week there's a new theory. So, I'm curious. What do you think?
