Depends, I like to just hire someone so I can feel like its done right. But my hubby thinks he wants to*try*. So we have a storm door that is a little unlevel and lets in a draft. A new wall between the baby's room and our room that is quite obviously NOT done by a professional... -
We do most repairs ourselves. DH is really pretty good at most repairs.
The new roof is professional. No way would you get either of us up on our steep roof. It's also being paid for by the insurance after the storm that ripped thru here.

We live in a rental house so we don't pay for repairs ourself unless we did something to cause whatever it is to break and then we will try to fix it ourselves first.

majority is DIY and if we can't do it then I call my dad.
So far I've never paid anyone for any home repairs lol *knocks on wood* but we have a lot of things coming up in the next few months so it may come down to it!.
