The Family Piggy Bank
Last week, every day, I had some sort of appointment - it could have been for Kiddo or me or for our home, but it seems that with the change of the seasons, you remember those check-ups, follow-ups that you need to arrange. When you think about it, those appointments actually save us money. If we don't stay on top of them, it can lead to missed days of work, school, cavities (!) and more...which adds up to money we maybe didn't have to spend.
From routine physicals to routine dental cleaning, that "preventative medicine" really does not only do you body good, but also does you wallet good. Catching certain health woes early before they turn into something serious can save you money on prescription medicines, visits to specialists and worse.
But one thing I want to add to this is those mental health appointments...all of us are stressed or tired or a little worn out emotionally (even if it is a good worn out). Making appointments with a long hot bath to relax or a coffee with girlfriends or just a few minutes every morning to meditate can save you money. Maybe you are a stress eater or get sick when you get to rundown - being proactive and making those appointments can save you money too - and you feel so much better after them.

I have to set my kids Dentist appointment but that's all for this month.

I need to make an appt. for my diabetic dilated eye exam...I'm about 6 months overdue. My excuse is that I didn't have someone to drive me home...DH was working 12 hour days. Now I've got a 15 yr old that can drive...not sure if that's the wisest idea, but it'll work. -
Ugh....the gynecologist. Very overdue for that one. Can I say "ugh" again.....

Michigan. He had to take a driver training course that lasted 2 weeks, and he can only drive as long as there is another licensed driver over the age of 21 in the car. Once he's 16, he can get a Level 2 license under which he can drive by himself but no more than one other person in the car that is under 18 unless he's with a licensed driver over 18. Once he's 18, he's got normal driving privileges.

I'm good on appointments, we do what needs to be done, even when we don't want to.
