What have you done to save money on back to school shopping this year? Have you shopped sales, clearances, thrift stores, etc?

I haven't done any back to school shopping yet but when I do start I will shop clearance and sales at our local outlet stores. I also only buy a few things to start like a couple of t's and sneakers. I buy jeans and sweaters when it starts to get cooler.
