Should a 1 year old boy bedshare with a 5 year old girl not related?

Hi, I was talking to a friend the other day and he was telling me about how this girl he knows moved in to a friends house and her one year old son was sharing a bed with her friends 5 year old daughter. My question is, should that be allowed? I personally feel like it shouldnt. Thoughts on this??

Why wouldn't the 1yr old be in the moms bed or a crib or toddler bed??? That's what I think is weird.

I do know she no longer has a crib for it as she sold it saying he was too big for it now. as for why the child isnt in her room i do not know but apartently her room is very tiny its more of a storage room then a bedroom

I don't see the issue. If the bed is big enough to do it safely, then what's the difference if they are related or not?

To me, it's a safety issue. A 5 year old won't wake up if they roll over on a baby.

I see nothing wrong with it honestly.  They are both babies, what do you believe the harm could be at that age?
